I was born in Bialystok, Poland and received a Master's Degree in architecture from the Technical University of Warsaw. I have worked successfully as an architect in both Poland and The United States. My true passion, however, is portraiture. Portraiture is my platform to explore the human experience in all of its complexity. I approach my work in a sensitive, realistic and personal manner that allows me to connect with my subjects on an intimate level. Painting landscape, still life and flowers I am fascinated by the play of color and light and try to capture vitality and beauty of nature. My work in oil paint has been influenced by my time spent studying under such artists as Nelson Shanks, Daniel Greene, Paul McCormack and recently renowned Polish artist Aleksandra K. Nowak.
